HOTPURSUIT:
In the case of officers moving into a neighboring country in a hot pursuit, none of the agreements in force foresee any temporal or spatial limitation; nor do their forerunners, with one exception. In the AT-IT case, a pursuit was limited spatially to a kilometer restriction (20 or 10 km, depending on road-type).
Different is the picture when assessing the legal mobility framework for joint operations, specifically that of joint patrols. The AT-SI agreement foresees a spatial restriction of ten kilometers along the shared border. The AT-IT and the AT-CZ agreements foresee joint patrols under the chapter of “special measures for [well-defined] border-area territories”. The other agreements do not contain spatial references. This picture changes when assessing the previous agreements, which in most cases designated a specific geographical limitation.Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
